  1. If you are a British Citizen,you won't have any problems.All you

need would be a passport.England is a member in the EU -community.

  2. In general, you don't need a visa if you are are just going for a visit. Germany allows stays of less than 90 days, a maximum of twice per year. If you will be staying longer you need to contact the local immigration office (Auslanderamt) and apply to stay in the country, and they will grant a 1 year resident visa if you qualify.

  3. If you are a eu citizen you can travel to any other eu country with just a passport.

It should tell you on the travel document what it applies to.  A travel agent should also be able to advise failing that contact wherever supplied the travel document

  4. No. A visa is not required for semi-annual visits of up to three months. Here is a German government site if you want to have a look-to be sure.

The visa application is there too in case you are staying longer than three months.
