  1. It could be you're putting too much fertilizer, and the plants are putting their energy into growing leaves instead of fruit.

    You could try cutting back on the water, too, if that might be it.

    Bear in mind that some kinds of tomatoes don't set fruit until late in the season.

    If the plants are indoors, it could be they need wind or bees for pollination.  If you are in the desert, maybe there are no bees outside, either.  In that case, you need to manually pollinate the flowers.


  2. I think vegetable plants give vegetables, not fruit.  Maybe that's the problem?

  3. It is a bit dry. Not enough water. Perhaps replanting them in the shade somewhere where the soil won't drain the water too far for its roots to reach the water. Near a small pond would be ideal. Even try creating your own small pond. You'd need to line the bottom with something to prevent the ground soaking up the water, and refill it as evaporation takes much. August isn't the best time for tasty fruits in a dry, sunny area. April may be better. Even Fall perhaps.
