No, it's illegal to return cans from a non-refundable state to a state that gives refunds.  You did not pay a deposit on them.  It seem like you should get money because it's recycling either way, but thats not the way the stores look at it.  Good luck!

As I read the question you are asking for recycling centers that will pay you for cans.  Aluminum has value.  Look up scrap dealers in your area and call around and ask for the best price for aluminum you collect.
