  1. A couple of things

    1) it's not definite yet

    2) the boundaries keep changing

The first time I heard of it, the inner circle was around the Rusholme area, and the outer ring was around the boundary of Manchester (basically the M60)

Now though, they're asking the other 9 metropolitan boroughs what they think, so it must have changed... but I don't know what to.

The cost will only apply during peak times, going towards the city centre during the AM rush hour, and out of the city centre during PM rush hour.

Hopefully it won't go ahead anyway- make sure you vote against it in September!

    No-one gets a discount.

  2. As the charge is for crossing the boundary it won't affect you.

  3. We don't know yet what is going to happen, we really should refuse and vote against it. Let's face it, Why do we pay Road Tax for our Cars, that should pay for all that, and it is still being put up, so Just Say No.

  4. As I understand it from the current information you will only be charged for the boundaries you cross - going into Manchester in the morning rush hour and going out of Manchester in the evening rush hour.

If you live between the outer (m60) boundary and inner boundary you would only be charged for crossing the inner boundary.
