I lived in pa and have my permit im moving to va what should i do?

i will be moving with my father in va i had my permit in may 2008 i go for my driver test in nov but that was in pa i am very n ew to this va thing what should i do about the permit because in va they said you can be about 15 and few months old but im about to be 17 what should i do

  1. You are moving to another state, you have to get a new permit.  You will have to get a copy of the Virginia drivers manual, study it, take the tests, and turn in your PA permit.  Each state has somewhat different driving laws and regulations, so you will have to fulfill VA requirements.

    Do not attempt to drive on a learner's permit or driving license from one state in another state.  Minors' driving licenses/learner permits are not valid outside the state where they were issued.  You can be arrested for driving without a license since it is not valid outside of the issuing state.
