  1. Panettone is an italian traditional Christmas dessert so any country where italian immigrants came, they still eat Panettone. I have seen them in Chile, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Ecuador, Mexico and Venezuela. There are now made locally but you can still buy the real Italian ones like Tre Maria or Perugina albeit at an expensive price. Local ones are good too, made with lots of glaced fruits and raisins.

  2. In Brazil they eat Panettone too!

The funniest thing is that there they just sell panettone in xmas.

  3. Ive never seen it in Bogota.

  4. Ive lived in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras and Argentina and all of them sell pannetonne only for xmas...all of them are imported except the one in argentina where its truly very popular. In the others country its not as popular...mostly because its pretty expensive. I love it, though!!

  5. Definetly this is a tradition for Peru; however, in the southern cone countries is very popular too. (Argentina, chile, brazil, parguay and uruguay) It has slowly moved the tradition to the andean countries as well.
