  1. My granddaughter is 2, and her attention span is pretty short.  She'd probably be able to put sprinkles on a couple of cookies before she'd be off doing something else:)  And, it's hard for a 2-yr-old to even understand the concept of the party being for THEM. They understand "birthday party", but don't really know this one's for THEM.....  By the time they're 3, though, they'll remember the 2-yr party, and know what's happening:)  .....  So, I wouldn't worry too much about getting your toddler involved in preparations THIS year....

  2. I was also going to say make pizzas.  And you could have cupcakes that the kids could decorate themselves.

  3. Lookinfg for idea's for lunch?  When my son turned 3 I made pizza crust and made small rounds on a baking sheet.  The kids each took turns putting sauce, pepperoni, cheese, etc. on their own pizzas.  Had a blast.  For my daughters birthday I premade some sugar cookies (it was for a carebear themed party and the cookies were hearts, stars, clovers just like on the bears tummies) and then the kids got to decorate a bunch with frosting, choc. chips, marshmallows, sprinkles and then got to take the goodies home.  Also was lots of fun.

  4. Finger Jello is always a hit with the kids and its easy to make.  The directions for making are on the side of the Jello package.  Rice Krispies Treats are also fun and easy to make.  The directions for those are on the side of the Rice Krispie box.
