I lose like 5 pounds a week on average... Is this normal?

I lose like 5 pounds (some is probably water weight, i know) a week and i don't really restrict below healthy (not anymore at least) and i only exercise like an hour a day, which is basically cardio and/or pilates. nothing really rough. anyways, why would i be losing this much weight a week and what could be wrong with my body?

  2. Based on your BMI you are approx 170 cm tall and your weight is 60 kg. You are almost in a perfect shape. So, you have to be very careful as you might disintegrate after approx 30 weeks by losing 2.5 kg / 5 pounds/ a week.

  3. HOW ARE YOU DOING THAT?  Are you serious?!?  Please tell us what you're eating, and where do you go to do your pilates and stuff?  I'm sure everybody else on here is just as jealous as I am.

    How long has this been going on?  Do you know your BMI?  I don't really know how to tell you whether or not it's too much for your body if I don't know.  It's a heck of a lot, though--especially to happen more than once.

  4. The only thing I could think of is that you have a really fast metabilism(your body burns calories very quickly).  You can't control your metabilism though.  The only things I would suggest are to eat more, and maybe exercise less.

  5. It's happened to me before, i don't think anything is wrong with you except that you are not supposed to be at that weight naturally. If that's true then when you start cutting caloric intake and exercising more the weight drops off easily because its subcutaneous.

    I believe that weight loss always starts from mindset. This is the reason why i am able to lose 15kg in 2 months and maintain for 3 years straight, all the way till my pregnancy.

    1) What is my goal? I want to lose __kg in __ time.

    2) Why do I want to achieve this goal? (if possible, come up with 50 reasons)

    3) If I do not achieve it, what pains will I have? (come up with as many reasons as possible)

    4) If I achieve it, what happiness will I have? (come up with as many reasons as possible)

    5) What will happen to me if I continue my current situation for the next 10 years?

    6) Then when do I want to take action?

    Some solutions I can offer you for diet:

    Breakfast: eat fruits/drink fruit juice

    Lunch: Less carbo, more veg and fruits, less seafood, meat and eggs

    Dinner: Same as lunch but no solid food after 8pm. Soups are great dinners

    If you want to exercise to enhance the speed of weight loss. Go for some light jogging or do something you enjoy like an aerobic class or kick boxing class...

  8. It depends on a lot of different factors.  One, how big are you?  Extremely overweight ppl can lose more weight, faster when they begin diet and fitness routine.

    Two, how many weeks has this been going on and are you underweight now?  If you are not underweight I wouldn't worry about it.  If you continue to lose and don't seem to be able to maintain or gain then see a doc.
