  1. I think its because lots of people when thee so close to the finish start to slow down. this then causes your muscles to seize up a lil. I would suggest just pushing your self realy realy hard until you feel your legs are gonna drop off.


  2. I run track and i used to have the same problem. This happens because when you pick up your stride which means your top speed earlier in the race. The sprinters that beat you matched your top speed earlier in the race and picked up there top speed later in the race. You have to work on maintain you top speed and getting more endurance and in the last 40 meters kick your body into what ever last little bit of energy you have to win. How old are you and what are your times?
