So last year i lost 30 pounds.

i was an overweight child.

I weighed, 168 pounds, and i was 5'3.

Now i weigh 138 pounds, and i am 5'5.

My goal weight was 128 pounds, but i stop working out.

I don't know how i just stop being motivated, i used to work out everyday, and make sure that i did every workout i was supposed to do. Now, i feel like its a chore to work out.

How can i get motivated again?

How many hours should i workout a day, and how many days a week?

What foods should i eat, and what should i cut back on eating?

How often, should i weigh. myself?

Should i start counting calories again?

I start, school, in a week.( I'm not trying to lose all the weight before school, i don't mind going at a slow pace.

I'm 15 years old, and vegetarian.

Thanks, alot.

  1. Well...Try going on walks with friends thats always fun. Try exercising first 20mins every week and then keep going up 10 mins until you reach how much you can take....Also maybe go into Gymnastic and dance and that is reallly fun. If your not into those things maybe try going swimming with frinds....Or do some sport...thats a great way to exerize and have lots of fun. Try not eating any junk food. and you do need to eat meat to help your body...but if you refuse then eat  Less junk such as chips...and snacks limmet your self once a week....Or somthing... or twice a week or sotmhing....and dont cont the calories that just gets really annoying and stuff and yo uwill get tired of it. I really hope this helps. have fun!!!

  2. Progress pictures keep a lot of people motivated.

One or less, and three to five days a week.

Lean proteins, complex carbs, healthy fats; cut back on simple carbs

Throw the d**n scale away and measure your progress with measuring tape and progress pictures.

Not necessarily, but you should eat smart.

The vegetarian thing can be a stumbling block unless you make up the protein difference with things like soy, nuts, seeds and such

  3. Chill out - you are just about the right weight for your height and at 15 should not be working out hard at a gym, maybe 30 mins cardio vascular exercise would be fine, brisk walking or stepping. Weight bearing exercise is best as you need to keep up your bone density.

Your calcium intake is very important, try to drink a glas of milk (semi skimmed if you want) and eat low fat yoghurt or cheese every day. You don't want to end up with osteoporosis in later life.

I wouldn't worry about weighing yourself maybe just once or twice a month. Use your clothes as a guide, if they feel a little tight maybe you put a pound or 2 on but don't worry about it and feel bad, women's weight can fluctuates by 4-8 pounds every month depending on your menstrual cycle.

You should concentrate on being happy about your weight loss and making friends at school and doing what kids enjoy doing.  Do as well as you can at your studies, your brain uses a h**l of a lot of calories don't forget that.

  4. if you're trying to lose weight you should really give Acai Berry a shot! i saw it on oprah and i'm trying it myself right now.. got a 14-day FREE trial from this site!

  5. Hi, just one hour of brisk walking daily will get you in shape soon...eat a small healthy meal every 4 hours and drink only water...
