  1. u might be able 2 register it, but u may have a few probs. best thing is to not register it. reinstall using ur work disc. dont register it though

  2. I had a similar situation, but with a different MS program.  I installed the program, but didn't have the Key Code for it.  I called MS and the generated a new code for me to use, however it cost me $10.00.  Even at that it was cheaper than buying the program again.

Microsoft will ask you seeral questions to determine your ownership of the software.  Once that has been established, they will generate a new Key code for you and you will be able to use the office disk and your new key code.  You may have to borrow a disk from a friend, though, since the office disk may have  a multiple licensing and MS may not accept it.

  3. When you reinstalled windows, did it take you through a reformat process; looks like a blue screen? Usually when you install windows it will reformat (format: wipes your computer clean of all files) the PC. This happens usually to your C:\ drive. So with that given, if you did not store you info on another drive than C:\, your info is lost forever.

If you have registered MS Office on another computer then you can not use it on your computer. You may get flagged for p****y.

  4. http://www.recuva.com/ use this, free download, recovers lost files and don`t pay for ms office again, just download openoffice, its the same as ms office but free http://www.openoffice.org/

  5. hi love richard, if you hadn't reinstalled windows we could have gotten it back for you and the missing or corrupt files back for you but now that you reinstalled windows i would try to download it from the internet but personally i believe this is a problem but a miner set back what i would suggest is go to circuit city and buy a cheap verssion of windows office works for win xp and that is your best bet sorry but we obey microsoft rules but look at it this way once you have it you will never need it again. good luck hope i was helpful to you

  6. You can just download the trial version that you had (e.g MS Office 2003) and enter the product key. If you dont have the product key, ou either e-mail or call the help desk at their toll free hotline and they would put you through the paces to verify whether you do infact own the product. As for the work CD, a product key has either three or seven uses not too sure, meaning you can use the same key on more than one PC but up 2 a certain number only. So if your work key is only being used on that one PC only, it will work on your PC at home once you have the matching version of the software (if your key is from MS Office 2007 you have to download the trial for MS Office 2007 and register the key).

    Hope I helped you :)
