  1. Not in a restaurant!

  2. hi, if born in california you could write to sacramento. calif ,, the capital of california.. attent  vital statistics records  .........look under white pages for sacramento, calif and look for dept of vital statistics.. birth and death records.. it is i think something like 16.00.$$.something like that... or you can go to the court house where you were born.. whatever town... also the vital statistics office.. birth certificates.. or use the white pages for the address and phone number.. also you could go online to... yahoo.com and look up birth certificates... and locate what town or county you were born at.. actually it is more expensive online.. you also have to have  calif id or drivers license or identiffication... but also in person you need identification to... so good luck

  3. The county building where La Mirada resides in.

  4. Doesn't matter if you lost it or not, because the post 09/11 government requires a CERTIFIED birth certificate for passports or marriage licenses.   You have to contact the County Records Department of the County that you were born it.  It will cost you around $15 and just take a couple of weeks to receive (but beware, a passport now takes as much as 8 weeks afterwards to receive).

  5. I had to order mine from the Bureau of Live births in Sacramento, a few years ago after they moved all the records out of the main courthouse building in Long Beach, because I used a service here in Houston to do it, it ended up costing me 46.00. If you are actually in Ca. it will be much cheaper.

  6. County Record Department is correct.  BTW you do not need a certified birth certificate to get a new passport, just a current ID and an old passport will work.  I did that last year.
