if u have the imei number you could inform your operator. at times when the person uses another sim card he will be caught. so try informing the operator with your imei number.

Call the phone, and hope whom ever found or finds it is honest . Offer a reward. send the phone a text saying you will pay a reward for it.

and leave your home number or a friends number they can call to meet you to return it .
