It was just my drivers license and I got my replacement already. I was thinking if someone could get me in trouble by using my ID instead of theirs.

  1. just report it lost. they have a picture so its not like somebody can pose as you, unless they got a fake mustache :P

  2. Some states will have a social security number on the ID. With the potential damage with identity theft, I'd seriously consider monitoring your credit report and that sort of thing.

Even if your state does not put a social security number on your driver's license, it might be a good idea to monitor your credit report and to guard other personal data.

  3. I would report it to the DMV.  Did you have your social security number on your license?  If you did, I would also contact the credit reporting agencies so they can flag your credit report.

Better to be safe than sorry in my opinion.  It is amazing what people can accomplish in terms of identity theft with just a little bit of information.

  4. nope just report it.

  5. The only info anyone could have off of it is your address and birth date.  So long as you did not lose any credit cards simultaneously, or something with your SSN (or so long as the driver's license did not use your SSN as the license number), you should be ok.
