I lost my paycheck, is there anything i can do.?

i feel so stupid. i work at jcpenney and its only my second paycheck. worth 398. and some odd change. can the give me a new one. where would i go, who do i ask. and how long will it take. thanks to all that answer

human resources and explain your problem...you may be responsible for the stop payment fee and you might have to wait til next payday to actually receive the replacement check.

Contact your payroll department, and ask for the check to be reissued.

If you don't know how to contact payroll, ask your supervisor how.

Of course you can get a new one.  Just tell Human Resources or the payroll department.  If you don't know how to find the right place ask your supervisor.  JC Penney is huge and I'm sure you're not the first person to lose a paycheck!

Tell payroll at work ASAP to stop payment on the check and to issue a new one.  They might charge you a small fee to cover what they will get charged by the bank to stop payment.

Go to the office, tell them you lost it, they have to cancel the cheque and give you a new one, they have to replace it.  Any probs contact your Labour Department, well thats what it's called in NZ.

I would notify your manager. Chances are they could put a stop payment on your paycheck and reissue you another one. Not sure if they would make you pay the fee for having the check stopped or not but it would be better to pay $30 or so than lose your entire paycheck. Good luck!

398? lol well it will take you two more weeks i would guss to make another one.. if you work your hours to make it ..398? is that for real?? thats it?? wow there cheap yo need to fond another job i would not get out of bed for that much
