  1. Get a tall bucket and some thing for it to walk up to and get into the bucket and fill the bucket with its favorite food but the food should be very low so it cant climb out

  2. put out a humane trap to catch it with!  put some of it's food in there as well!

  3. If you have been looking since yesterday then it may not be in the couch anymore. At night while everyone is sleeping they stay awake and will most likely find a better spot to hide. Seal off any areas low to the ground where they can slide under to get out of the house. If you seal off each room and stay silent for a little while and listen for activity it may come out.

  4. i used to have a rat, his name was bubba, he would go down my shirt and nibble on my bra, he was a great pet. we moved to az from ca, i had to give him up, i cried so much, he went to a friend of my daughters, who took such great care of him until he died of cancer, he had a great life and was adored by all my daughters friends and the rest of our family...if you take good care of them they live 3to5 yrs, we had him a good 4yrs. we had never had a rat as a pet. we would put frozen carrots on the floor when we would clean his cage and he would find them and hide them behind the dishwasher, he also ate part of my flip flop, he would run around on my bed and watch american idol with us! we loved him so much!

  5. Look in a place where there is food, he should be there. Or think, if I was a rat, and i was let free, where would i go? to the food! Or inside a trash can or something like that.

    Good luck!!!

    I hope you find him/her!

  6. Wow.

If it's still in the couch, then it will obviously fall out eventually.

    More likely,

if it's not in the couch, you will have some serious searching to do.

Get its food, and other friends to be stationed all over the house to try and trap it so it won't get away.

    good luck ?!

  7. wow that was an bad idea to have it with u on a couch did u check the couch all over

  8. set a trap!   use peanut butter or american cheese to bait it. It'll come out when it wants to especially if it smells food.

  9. Close every door in your house and put a shoe box or high bucket with food.. wait a few hours/days and wait to see which room the food has dissappeared from. then you'll know where he's at at least... you can even set up a food trap.

  10. i have lost my rat in the bath room before just stay calm make it  so he cant go under couches washer and dryer fridge doors etc put its fav food out and all you can do is be patient do NOY use peaunut butter it kills them from the inside warn every one inthe house to keep doors shut u may or may not find him i kno its a sad thought to think about now but its the trouthif there is no sightings after 2 weeks ull havto give up and get a new one sorry : (

  11. Warn everyone in your family to watch where they step and don't sit on your couch. Try to put his favorite food in different places around the house. He will then probably smell it and come out to eat it.

  12. Freedom,. Yesss....

  13. Are you sure it's in the couch?

This might sound funny, but since you've looked "everywhere":

Sit in the room you think it might be in. If you can sit cross-legged on the carpet, do so. Otherwise, sit straight-backed in a chair. Make the room peaceful, quiet, comfortable.

Clear your mind of worry. It tightens the space around us. Focus on your breathing. Slowly breathe in to the count of 4-6, beginning in your belly and bringing the breath up to your shoulders, and exhale the reverse way to a count of 6-8.

The focusing on breath releases thought, which constricts your aura. I've had so many animals appear and/or turn direction and come to me when the focus is no longer on them.

In essence, you want to tap into your own "animal" instinct.

As long as you don't have cats, also leave food and water out in an open, accessible cage, and do this at least 2-3 times a day. This is hard for even practiced people to attain, so be patient and continue to let go of worry, open your space for the rat to enter. They're smart creatures.

  14. Eww i hate rats
