I lost my recycle bin on Vista ... how do I get it back?

Does anyone know how one loses a recycle bin on windows vista? I do not know how it happened but it is gone from my desktop now ... any advice?

Right click desktop  -  click properties - on left side click change desktop icons -

go to start click on search and type in recycle bin

Right click on the desktop.

Go to Personalize.

Then Desktop icon settings.
