Question:

I lost my scuba diving card...?

I was certified to dive about two years ago. Am I still qualified to dive, or would if have expired by now? Or would dive places refuse to take me without the card? I'm a minor, so would that cause a problem, especially? What if I could get my instructor to testify on my behalf?

I would like to go scuba diving with a friend through a diving company, and I was wondering if I'm able to without my card.

Also, how could I replace it, if I can't find it?

  1. Cards don't expire.  You may want to take a refresher course, to brush up on skills, bu that's it.

To replace your card, try going back to your shop that certified you in the first place.  If your a PADI cert, you can print a temp card from http://www.padi.com, and get a replacement on the way.

Your instructor could also get you a temp card, and order your replacement.
