1. Your a bad mom!

Call the hospital and ask them for copies DUH!

  2. You can apply for a new copy of your son's birth certificate.

As your son is under 18 in australia you can submit a request for a birth cerificate as his parent.

this will tell you what you need..

  3. You just need legitimate proof on who you are (because you are the mother of the child you do not need proof of the connection as your name will be on his birth certificate which they can look up on their records). It is about the same level of difficulty. For you that will mean at least 3 forms of ID(including such items as copies of passport, driver's licence, medicare, bills (gas, electric etc). These documents do not need to be certified.

You can go to the NSW Registry an apply in person (they're located on Regent's St in the city near Central station) or you can mail in your application.

To all these people who think that the asker is a bad mom or ask the hospital. What a load of rubbish. She and the child are Australian born meaning the birth records that she will need are at the Registry (the hospital records will not be accepted). Australian born kids can have more than one copy of their birth certificate if they want.

Legally speaking via Australian law there are only certain people who are allowed access to a birth certificate for a living person. Those people include the parents of the child (parents defined as those listed on the birth certificate, although a father may be included if there is a court order identifying him as a parent), the child itself and the children of the person in question (a legitimate link will need to be proven via their own birth certificates).

  4. Try contacting The Birth, Death, Marriage Registry on: http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/

I am quite sure you can request another birth certificate.

  5. if you can get to the hospital he was born at thats easiest but i think thers a website for that just search birth certificates

  6. Iggy,

Contact the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages. They will charge you a fee for reprinting a birth certificate, but they will do it nevertheless.

You'll need 100 points of ID - similar t obtaining a drivers licence for your own, and when you have your own, you can obtain the baby's cert using your own ID.

  7. You have a medicare card, calm down, they will be able to track down your son's information and give you a new birth certificiate. You can also use hospital documents to provide any needed information.

His bluebook may be very useful.

    good luck.

    xx

131232, thet are extreemly helpful and will tell you what you need and how to get it.
