i was on the bus this morning going to work..

when i was at my desk, i realized that my wallet was gone.

i knew i had lost it on the bus because i remember showing my bus pass (inside my wallet) to the driver.

what are my chances of getting it back??

i didn't have much value in there, but i did have my ID in there...

is it actually possible that someone would steal my identity?

  1. put up signs

  2. If your talking Britain. Ah h**l no. You might get your buspass back. Did you ring the bus garage and ask them? Sorry

  3. My brother lost his wallet on a train in Denver, and it was basically the same situation. What happened to him was someone found it and turned it in, and they mailed it back to him. Nothing was missing. Hopefully someone found it and turned it in for you.

  4. Call the bus company to find out where their Lost & Found is--most public transport companies have those (people lose stuff all the time) and see what the policy is on checking for lost items (days and times the dept is open, what kind of i.d. you'd need, etc.).  Then you'll have to take your chances; if you're lucky, a good samaritan has turned it in.  However, if you have credit cards, driver's license, etc. in there, you should start the horrible process of contacting the companies to close your account and get a new card (new card number) issued.  Also make sure to check your monthly statements and credit reports to make sure no one is using your i.d.

  5. things people need to steal your id. name, address, date of birth if they had more things like where you were born. medical details then they could really go to town but i think you will find if someone is honest the bus depot will have your wallet but just in case they haven't tell the police. they cant do anything but at least you have reported it.

  6. Maybe they might mail it to you. I would.

  7. Call your transit people, someone may have turned it in. My friend left her purse on the bus once. Her Coach purse, the bus driver found it in the back of the bus, everything was in her purse when it was returned to her. You would be surprised as to how many people will turn in your wallet without stealing anything from it. I hope you get it back.

  8. go to the DMV & get this paper to make an appointment. &fill it out then get a number then they will ask you for info & stuff &then they'll send you a new ID.
