I'm going to buy another one but this time I want white gold instead of what I had before which was the yellow gold, as I think the white gold is just beautiful. But my husband's ring is gold ....question.....Would that look stupid me having a white gold ring and his band is yellow or should we get him one to match mine or the other way around?? Thanks! Or does it even matter?

  1. I don't think it matters.

  2. Yes it would

  3. I don't think it should matter about them matching.  If YOU really want them to match, then you should.  But if it doesn't matter to you, then by all means, just get what you want!  My husband has a titanium ring, which is really dark, kind of a metallic gray color.  Mine is white gold, and looks nothing like his.  So, I don't think it is a must that they match, and I say that it is totally what you are comfortable with.  If it upsets you that they don't match, and makes you feel as if they just don't "fit," then do go ahead and get them matching!  Also take into account your hubby's feelings, as well!

  4. Here's my suggestion:  Get a ring that has both gold and white gold.

These rings look really pretty, very classy, and will help tie your sets together.

It doesn't necessarily matter, my brother and his wife have opposing golds.  But I think if it's a concern, it's better to go with something you think you both can be happy with.

There are some examples of what I mean in the source box.  They actually look nicer than you'd think.

  5. I don't think it matters at all.  Who looks?  I was married about a year ago and we just used our engagement rings (which don't match) as our wedding rings and no one notices or cares.  Get something you want, don't waste money on things you don't like or extra things you need.

  6. You should any ring you want to get. The white gold is very beautiful so I see why you would want to change. As far as your husband's ring maybe you both can change his later to match yours. The rings don't really matter in the end so I would say get what you like.

  7. Don't panic!

My husband has an absolutely gorgeous yellow gold & diamond wedding ring.. I thought about getting one to match, but it just didn't look right on my finger so i opted for the same one in white gold.

Just because you are married, it doesn't mean you need to have the same wedding ring as them.

  8. When I got married the first time, I did NOT want yellow gold, and he absolutely wanted yellow for his.  We had unmatched rings, and not one person ever even noticed as far as we know.  We mentioned it to a couple of people, but they all said, "Oh, we didn't even realize they didn't match."  Even when we did the traditional "rings on the hands" photo after the wedding, it didn't look bad that our rings weren't the same metal.

  9. Doesn't matter, it's just a symbol, what really counts is the relationship between you and your husband, not the relationship between your rings. Get what makes you both happy.

  10. The rings don't have to match, just the hearts do.
