I lost the key to my ford focus 1999 T reg, whats the cheapest way of getting a new key? many thanks

Car breakers, s/h lockset.

Or take Id and V5 to ford dealer, and ask them to match a key for you.

some will, some cant be bothered.

You phone up the main dealer and ask to get a new set of keys made for you.

Scrapyard would be the first place I'd go.

If that failed I would Google for the Ford owners club and ask on the Forum for some help. I bet someone there has a key or knows where to get one in a hurry.

My 1996 ford truck wore out and wouldn't work. my truck was so old that Ford didn't have the info on computor. Went to locksmith and for $40.00 he went into the steering colume and made a new master. Good luck.

after being in the auto bussiness since 1977 the best and cheapest way is to get a good locksmith that can do chip keys

new lock cylinders and keys are very costly just try the yellow pages and see who might be able to code a new key for you i use them all the time for my customers with great success
