  1. yea they cook cats rats dogs and monkeys penusus

  2. dude they are just rumors take a jooke. people that say that dont like chinease

  3. Some places especially in China have been known to use cats in their recipes and had to close down.......Cats, Dogs, Rabbits and almost any animal is used as food. The way these animals are treated is with cruelty and abuse. Most often these animals are either boiled alive, skinned alive or beaten to death in a sack. These animals are bred in out of the way farms and sold in back alley markets away from prying eyes.

Cats, Dogs, and Facts about Fur: Every year two million dogs and cats are tortured and slaughtered for their fur. China, the Phillippines, and Thailand export their victims fur to the United States, France, Germany, Italy, and other nations to be used in toys, gloves, and to trim coats. Dogs and cats are skinned alive, suffocated, hanged, bludgeoned, clubbed, or bled to death. How do these countries get by with the brutal murder of these animals and profit from their suffering? Why do European countries and the United States buy these dog and cat products?

One of the most popular animal furs among the companion animals is the German Shepherd's fur. The Shepherd's fur resembles coyote, raccoon, or fox. These products are often given names such as Mongolia Dog Fur, Gae-wolf, Gou-pee, China Wolf, Corsac Fox, Katzenfelle, Goyangi, and Mountain Cat to keep unsuspecting consumers from knowing that they are purchasing dog and cat fur.

The Humane Society of the United States makes the following recommendations:

       1. Tell everyone you know about the dog and cat trade.

       2. Tell everyone you don't know about the dog and cat trade.

       3. Order free "Dear Retailer" cards to hand to managers of stores carrying fur products.

       4. Write to department stores about discontinuing the sale of all fur in their stores.

       5. Contact pet supply stores that sell real fur pet toys. Tell them about the dog and cat fur trade.

       6. Write to editors of fashion magazines that promote fur apparel. Tell them about the dog and cat fur trade.

       7. Let pet supply stores know about the dog and cat fur trade and ask these stores that sell real fur pet toys to stop.

       8. Ask stores that sell fur-covered and fur-trimmed decorations and toys to remove these items, which may be made with dog and cat fur, from their store.

       9. Write to the embassies of countries where dogs and cats are slaughtered for their fur and skin. You can get the address of your nearest Chinese embassy/consulate at:

    www.warriortours.com/embassy/

I recently watched a program on television about this vile trade in animals in the far east, it was shocking and terrible what these animals go through. This is not about a culture difference, it is about simple humanity and how the Chinese view animals in general. To me personally the Chinese have no humanity to life in general, how we can change that is a very difficult question to answer. One way is to stop buying any products from these countries and write to the embassies saying why you are boycotting their products. Only time and a concerted effort by individuals and Western Countries will make a change for the better. These animals deserve better.

  4. no chinese restrants in america cook cat... but they sure do in china!!

  5. no dont belive rumers

  6. I wish I still had the email about Chinnese food, as I would have sent it to you. It's not cats anymore, it's RATS. It showed pictures of the Chinnese people with rats. They blow torch the hair off of the rats, they clean them, and then they cut off the back half of them, and it looks just like a piece of chicken, ( the thigh part of a chicken). Then they deep fry it and there we go. Keep eating Chinnese food honey...

  7. hahah this really made me laugh.

if you dont order cat, you're 99.9% sure you won't get cat.

    :P

bless you! I do hope you're quite young. If you're older than me (16), then I shall pray for humanity. And I'm not even religious.

  8. okay i worked a Chinese place they dont but they cook other kind of "pets" yes cats 2 April Fools

  9. Depending on what part of the world you are from there are a lot of foods that we Americans wouldn't touch.  Yes, one of those is cats.

However, in the U.S. it is very, very, unlikely that an oriental restaurant will try to serve 'felis domesticus' to you.  Just stick to the reputable restaurants and you should be fine.

If you were in rural China, you might have to be more careful.

  10. When i poked at my food it meowd!!!

    I say yes

  11. i hope not!!!!!

  12. have you seen cats around outside restarant ????

  13. It's true only outside of the U.S.

  14. no no! don't be silly! they only cook dog!!

  15. yes, there are some chinese specialities including cat and dog meat...it is not a rassist lie, its really true. but if you live

in the west, i guess they cant really put it in the food. in my town nevertheless was a case where a chinese restaurant cooked with dog food, and they got caught by the police and had to close the store...so i would better ask them whats in their food.

  16. That's so cute! Of course not darling. :)

But seriously they eat dog meat in China. (that's sick to me) Perhaps that's why people are so afraid of chinese food....coz they eat anything.

  17. They and many other cultures do...but not in the U.S. due to our distaste in eating "Fluffy"! My husband is Korean and as a child would eat dog (in Korea)...but would never think of it doing that now in the U.S. It's just a cultural difference in what is "yummy"? But don't let that stop you from eating ethnic...there are waaaay too many laws and food regulations to allow the furry guys from ending up on our dinner plates here!

  18. In some Asian Cultures including China, and Korea it is quite common to eat cats, dogs and other small animals that we here in the United States would consider domesticated or pets.

My mother is Korean. I had to ask her because I got tired of the teasing. Her answer was this. Historically speaking poor families could not afford beef or pork. These animals were readily available. She herself had never had dog or cat meat but had heard it tasted no different.

Keep in mind not all cultures think alike. While we enjoy a good juicy burger, the Hindu People don't believe in eating cow. And while we like eating Bacon with our eggs in the morning, Muslims are prohibited from eating pork.

So, I say if you live in China, worry. If you live here in the states, relax and eat!

  19. no they don't cook no cat people just tell you that so you want eat it

  20. NOT IN THE U.S.

  21. The chinese food that you love is the American chinese food, not the real one. In China, they do eat all kinds of animals, form frogs, to cats, to rats and dogs. Although the cuisine varies by region, it is true that they eat these animals. They also eat different foods than the greasy, salt drenched 'chinese food' that they popularized in other countries.

In the US, however, you won't find cats or rats on the menu... as I said before, i all modified for the likings of the country and they know better than putting an exotic animal on the menu. It would drive customers away an that's the last thing they want. You are safe here.

  22. um... no

urban legend.. health inspectors would have a field day....

at least not in the US...

  23. This is a grossly exaggerated fact. I am sure there a few people in China who cook and eat cat meat, but that does not mean a large percentage of the population does. In the United States, there are health codes that protect against things like that. China is a completely different culture from our own, which means they eat different things. Besides, the American Chinese food is hardly real Chinese food anyway.
