I love Queen Elisabeth II and the Royal Family but whenever..?

Question

I say that in public/in class everyone always frowns at me, because they disapprove. Why does no one like the Royal Family?! What have they done do make people so against them...??

(I live in Canada, so we have a Queen)

They're wealthy, through inheritance. So they didn't earn anything they are surrounded by, money and title. It would help if they weren't so ugly. People like good looking girls when most of them never 'earned' it but got it through accident of birth and good genes.

Looking at on-line polls, I see that there is fairly large percentage of Canadians that want to do away with the monarchy in Canada, but their is also a lot of indifference.

It's quite possible that when Prince Charles becomes King, that there will be enough sentiment for Canada to become a republic.

I would say that it is very difficult for any human being to stay front and center in the public eye and remain popular for decades. Most celebrities fall in and out of favor. However, most celebrities are charismatic and spent a great deal of their life trying to become a celebrity. Royals are just born into the life.

Queen Elizabeth is by all accounts an extremely hard working person. She spends hours every day reading about her government. I think she should be someone you could admire.

They have never been elected but always expect to be Head of State and hold a privileged position in society.

One day Britain will be a full democracy.

Some people are jealous of the family's power and wealth. When economic times get rough,the rich are always targets of jealousy.
