  1. lol... me too... I start something and never finish it, and what it ends up to be is nothing like I imagined it.  I know I have the skill do some really cool things, but I haven't got inspired for weeks.  Just give it some time.  I also like looking at tutorials and art on deviantart, some times that helps, try browsing through there!

    Good Luck

    edit:

This happens to me too sometimes... when i see something really cool someone made, I want to copy it too.  Actually, it sounds like I'm in the exact same position as you (except only for like 2 weeks rather than years).  I can't get inspiration anywhere, I've had the same  blank peice of paper sitting on my desk for days now, because I can't think of what to draw.  You could try asking a question of what to draw on here, or find a cool picture you can try to draw on your own (I did one of a turtle I found in a book, which was my last inspiration).  Good Luck again... I haven't found a solution yet either, but if I find one, I'll let you know.

  2. you have writers block about art. to get your creativity up you could go to galleries and art museums to get inspired by others work. spending time in nature like taking a walk in the woods is another good way. just try drawing the things around you to get started, like a still life of a flower vase. or something harder like a self portrait. also you could try expressing your emotions on paper with colors and shapes, more abstract things which require less perfection.
