  1. Douglas Adams was a brilliant writer.

His Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series started as a radio serial, then TV, then books, and finally appeared as a video game.  The general setting and plot and characters were the same, but they all had different stories.  There was simply no end to the possibilities of what could happen, because the entire premise was that the laws of physics were as binding on physics as traffic laws are on traffic. Usually they are obeyed.  Not always.  Anything can happen. And did.

So, given that anything can happen in his stories without limit, what is the significance of a limitation on when he has to figure out what did happen and put it on paper?

Anyone that doesn't know the name Douglas Adams should find one of his books and read his work.  The movie almost did him justice, but the books are simply marvelous.

He was one of a kind, and will be missed.

** I disagree about him having writer's block.  Writer's block is when a writer can't think of what to write.  Douglas Adams' problem was more of being undecided as to which version of events to use.  It was the opposite of writer's block.

  2. I don't think he's stressed out in any way.

  3. A genius who suffered from a tremendous amount of writer's block.
