I love diet v8 splash but i want to mix a drink. so bacardi mixed with the v8, is that a bad idea?

Rum with V8 might taste funny if there is too much.  Vodka would be a better choice.

BTW, you can mix with diet versions of soda, so the only calories you consume are from the alcohol itself (7 cals per gram of pure alcohol)

Try a little, and see if it tastes good before you make a lot.
