  1. Ohhh thats what was happening to me b4 I got pregnant. I like it - Angelina Jolie-ish veins lol. My blood tests showed I was in FAB HEALTH. I was nearly vegan. Ive had hyperemesis and Im now 37 weeks pregnant and very depleted but my bod has stood up real well under the pressure! Doc was amazed. I was working on my feet before so was always very aware of vein health. I still dont have any veins. Prevention is better than cure!

Here is what I did: Used palmers 'vein helath' cream, Sometimes wore support stockings, Took magnesium, hawthorn berry, silica liquid supplement and anything else that could help. Drank lotsa water. Stretched a lot and put my legs up (literally) on breaks.

My veins are even more promient now but more likely pregnancy possibly high blood pressure.

I would have been more thinking that the fibre in your diet could make you get the trots

  2. haha..that is actually good, it means your bloodflow is circulating properly....

  3. A nutrition professor once told me that it was common for our ancient ancestors to eat up to six pounds of leaves per day. He imagined them walking along from one place to another, just picking and eating leaves as they went. Can you imagine eating a grocery bag full of greens each and every day? Few of us even eat the minimum USDA recommendations of 3 cups of dark green vegetables per week. And yet, these veggies deliver a bonanza of vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients.

    Health Benefits

    --------------------------------------...

Dark green leafy vegetables are, calorie for calorie, perhaps the most concentrated source of nutrition of any food. They are a rich source of minerals (including iron, calcium, potassium, and magnesium) and vitamins, including vitamins K, C, E, and many of the B vitamins. They also provide a variety of phytonutrients including beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin, which protect our cells from damage and our eyes from age-related problems, among many other effects. Dark green leaves even contain small amounts of Omega-3 fats.

Perhaps the star of these nutrients is Vitamin K. A cup of most cooked greens provides at least nine times the minimum recommended intake of Vitamin K, and even a couple of cups of dark salad greens usually provide the minimum all on their own. Recent research has provided evidence that this vitamin may be even more important than we once thought (the current minimum may not be optimal), and many people do not get enough of it.

    Vitamin K:

    * REGULATES BLOOD CLOTTING (ANSWERING YOUR ORIGINAL QUESTION)

    * Helps protect bones from osteoporosis

    * May help prevent and possibly even reduce atherosclerosis by reducing calcium in arterial plaques

    * May be a key regulator of inflammation, and may help protect us from inflammatory diseases including arthitis

    * May help prevent diabetes

Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin, so make sure to put dressing on your salad, or cook your greens with oil.

    Almost Carb-Free

    --------------------------------------...

Greens have very little carbohydrate in them, and the carbs that are there are packed in layers of fiber, which make them very slow to digest. That is why, in general, greens have very little impact on blood glucose. In some systems greens are even treated as a "freebie" carb-wise (meaning the carbohydrate doesn't have to be counted at all).

  4. It will naturally thicken the blood, prescription or not. Some people have no worry about it, but if you are on coumadin or something like that from your doctor you should limit yourself or cut them out completely, please call him or the nurse.

Greens are full of Vitamin K which is fine but it is a blood thickener. Large veins of varicose veins are hereditary and can also be caused by standing all day. A good pair of shoes might help. You have to get a prescription for something like blood vessels issues!!!. 1 aspirin a day is good for you and is a natural blood thinner. I think you should consult your doctor asap if you are concerned about something that serious, PLEASE!

  5. I don't know about your veins, but greens are good for you.

  6. greens are the healthiest foods on this planet.  People should eat more and I always advise it, but no one seems to get it.

  7. I'm an omnivore and I eat a big salad with dinner every evening. I've been doing it for decades with no ill effects.

Greens will have no effect on your circulation.

  8. I NEVER EAT GREENS:

    reasons:

    -slimy

    -gross

    -smelly

    -slippery

    -eugh

you can if you want they are healthy

  9. that doesn't sound too good..

you wouldn't want the most vital part of your existence to be thick.. keep it not too thick or not too thin..

  10. I have a feeling you worry too much. The best idea is to go talk to your doctor. If you are worried, the worst thing you can do is ask on here or look it up on the Internet.
