I love having my dog's doggy friends over, but whenever a male dog comes over to play, he pees all over ?

I love seeing my dog happy playing with other dogs, but male dogs coming to my place end up marking their territory with lots of pee. I have to clean the apartment after wards and this is discouraging me from inviting other doggies to play. Any less drastic solution?

You can ask the male dogs parents to make their dog wear belly band while he is visiting. It is just a piece of fabric with a pad inside so he really marks in the disposable pad.

That's because a male dominant dog wants to override the smell of your dog. Have the visiting dogs been castrated? as this takes away some the dominance factor, also depends on breed of dog.

Why not try meeting up with doggy friends in an open area why they can run freely together rather than at your apartment that way you and your dog get to socialise and your apartment gets to smell nice for longer!.

try putting newspapers or puppy pads large ones down and maybe they will use those the scent of the puppy pads will attract the dogs and they may use them you could also try cleaning with biological washing powder they don't like the smell

I like the belly band solution.  They also sell 'diapers' for boys.  

There was a product on the market years ago called "NO".  It stinks and the males wont' pee on anything sprayed with that.
