that all the "SEC fans" are mad about the Tennessee loss... The only "SEC fans" that are mad are the Tennessee fans, everyone else is excited!! Including me, I was rooting for UCLA, I wanted Tennessee to lose, I'm wondering why, you guys aren't like that, and why you want a team from your conference to win a game that they weren't even suppose to win, that just makes them that much more dangerous doesn't it???

  1. Then why do you care so much? LMAO!!!! When Georgia loses you will become a LSU fan then after that you will say you are an Alabama fan and after that a Florida fan. That's how you SEC people operate. Pathetic.

  2. Ok guys, it's time to sit back and remember what a conference is for a second. A conference is more than ONE TEAM. Let's think about every season of this decade and recall the teams that won the title in their respective seasons. The only conference that has had more than 1 team win the chamionship, or even make it to the BCS title game is who??? Oh yeah...the SEC. The Pac-10 IS USC just as the Big Ten IS OSU. Only the Big 12 has had more than 1 team represent them for the title and I don't remember any of them but Texas winning it. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I think that's why the SEC has been the better CONFERENCE in this decade.

  3. Because it now means more to beat UCLA and less to beat Tennessee in confrence games for rankings, thats why

  4. Anyone who thinks Tennessee's mismanagement of tonight's game and allowing UCLA to hang around after throwing four interceptions is a great victory of PAC 10 over the SEC, UCLA over Tennessee, or one team over another just doesn't get it.  Phillip Fulmer is the issue.  He played not to lose.   Give Les Miles the same personnel and that game would have been Tenn 40, UCLA 7.  Having a punt blocked is ridiculous.  Todd Blackledge was right. Tennessee needed to go 8 men on the line and put severe pressue on Craft while he was shaky. They didn't. They also didn't convert enough of those turnovers into one more score. But their play selection in OT was weak, and Craft found a way to win.  Good for him. Good for Neuheisel.  If they played 10 times, Tennessee would win 9.  Woe to opponents if Fulmer is ever replaced. Their talent has been underutilized for several years.

  5. The PAC 10 was not created that recently. It was merely a name change from Pacific Coast Conference, the two Arizona schools came in and the name was changed. The old version had Idaho and Montana who  were dropped. The PCC had been around for many decades before the Pac10 name.

  6. who really even cares about conferences, only one team wins the championship not a conference. this is like going to the NFL an being like the NFC north is better than the NFC south... who cares????? just pick a team and go for it.   i was ruiting for UCLA, they won, not because i'm a pac 10 fan, i just wanted to see an upset...

  7. exactly, bro. the way i look at it is......be a fan of your team. dont be a fan of a conference. the teams in your conference are your biggest enemies (most of the time). when one of your enemies loses, it should be a celebration for you.

  8. The last 9 years PAC-10 owns SEC with a 9-6 record. Or you forgot to include that in your search? Lol!

  9. I would think that for conference pride, you'd want your conference to play well in non-conference games.  I can see rooting against a fellow conference team in a non-conference game only if that team was a bitter rival.

  10. I'm getting mixed responses about this topic.

Some PAC-10 fans are complaining that SEC fans don't cheer for each other while others are complaining that SEC teams do cheer for each other and are too upset about other team's losses. What's the big deal?!

I don't CHEER for other SEC teams but I am happy when we win the National Championship. I can't say I'm terribly disappointed that UT lost but I wouldn't have minded a win for an SEC team against an out of conference team. It makes all of us look better.

I'm a huge UGA fan and will never really root for another team but I can be proud that we have a tough conference and that we have to work our butts off to succeed. Winning the SEC championship means something but the only way to prove that to other conferences is to beat them too.

  11. No we just want you SEC fans to shut up already about how fallaciously good your conference is.

Two National Championships against the Buckeyes and the SEC becomes the greatest collective of college football teams ever. Although your top teams are usually quite good... your conference isn't as "complete"  as many of you think it is, which is something that was proven tonight.

That and SEC fans tend to underestimate all the other conferences that aren't the Big Ten based on those two recent championship games i.e. the Pac-10 and Big-12. So we'll take as many wins as we can get against you guys either until you shut the **** up or prove it and put a beat down on one of the better teams from the NOT BIG TEN conferences.

@ LSU tigers - That's hardly something worth noting of course the SEC is going to have a bigger win lost ratio on every other conference because they're about 20 years older then any other conference that's still around. It's a fact that when conferences are relatively new they're usually pretty S****y. The SEC was established in 1933 20 years before the ACC, 26 years before the Pac-10, and 63 years before the Big 12. Even if you want to blatantly disregard that fact it's no coincidence that the only conference older then the SEC, the Big Ten has a winning record against them.  That and any 12 team conference statistically has a natural advantage over a 10 team conference because there are more teams. Compare the SEC to say the Big 12 and the records really close. 314-305-24 (and the Big 12 has only existed for 12 years).

  12. just another pac-10 victory over another over rated sec team.  move along kids, nothing to see here.

  13. we might have our favorite teams in the SEC but in the end all that matters is stomping another big 10 teams *** in another championship game, i bleed orange and white for the vols. but if they cant get it done i would pull for fla, georgia even bama against a big 10  team....american by birth...tennesseean by the grace of God and whorship at the SEC alter  lol
