You can enjoy Parcha juice, the fruit and also in ice creams and sno cones all year round. It grows in the mountains.  I know because when I lived in Aguas Buenas, I used to go to the mountains pick parchas and make my own juice and even sell them.  The parcha flower is medium size, has white petals with a purple middle.  The fruit grows on a vine turning from a pale green to a bright yellow with a sweet smell.  It is good for bringing down high blood pressure.  What me kids and I would do is sit on the porch with some parchas, cut them in half and with a spoon pour on some sugar and then scoop out all the pulp with the sugar and eat it.  But yes, it is all year round.
