Having spent just a month with his IPL franchise, Delhi Daredevils, in the ongoing fifth edition of the Indian Premier League, the prolific England batsman Kevin Pietersen has said that he is “sick and tired” of defending his participation in the cash-rich
Twenty20 league.
"It's plain and simple. I'm sick and tired of having to defend myself about going to the IPL every year,” said the South Africa born England batsman on his return home to play the home series against West Indies.
“It's something that's there which all the best players in the world play in. There is no need to defend myself. I will play in the IPL, it's the best tournament going, and that's the way it is," Pietersen reiterated.
Kevin Pietersen returned impressive during his one-month stint with the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 Daredevils, compiling a tally of 305 runs in 8 games, at an average of 61.00, including his maiden T20 century.
The 31-year-old right-handed top-order batsman said that he had no qualms about participating in the esteemed league and will continue to do so in future as well, without any hesitation.
Playing conditions in England are much different than those in India as the lanky batsman will be switching swiftly from the turning tracks of subcontinent to the seaming surfaces in England.
