I love Patricia Briggs, she is so great, and has two love interests. What's a girl to do? Choose The Alpha Dog or choose the Vampire?

I also like Sooki Stakehouse.

  1. I only have one recommendation: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hitchhi...

  2. The Host

    by Stephanie Meyer

  3. Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead by Orson Card.

2001: A Space Odyssey and 2010: Odyssey Two by Arthur Clark

The Time Machine and War of the Worlds by HG Wells

  4. Don't know either of those books so choose a different one. My choice would be THE HOST by Stephanie Meyers it was soooo good.

  5. Sounds like you might like the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyers, too- vampires and werewolves.

  6. I absolutely love Patricia Briggs.  I've read all of the Mercy series and I just finished reading the short story of Anna and Charles in "On The Prowl".  I picked up the first book in the Anna and Charles series, "Cry Wolf", but haven't started reading it yet.  Here's some other authors and books I like:

Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake series - Anita is a vampire hunter and necromancer with vamps, weres, etc in her life.  Excellent stories, but some people don't like the last few books.  As the series progresses, there is more s*x and less plot.  The first few through "Obsidian Butterfly" are good in my opinion.  She also has a fairy series, Meredith Gentry, but I'm not sure if you're into that.

Karen Chance's Cassandra Palmer series - Cassie is a psychic and she can talk to ghosts.  She was taken away from her parents and raised by the vampire mofia, but then escapes.  She's wanted by several groups of people.  There are vampires, mages, fairies, incubi, etc. in these books.  A mild bit of romance like Patricia Briggs.

Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series.  Each book focuses on a different woman of the other world.  The first few are my favorites.  Bitten and Stolen are about a werewolf named Elena.  Dime Store Magic and Industrial Magic are about a witch named Paige.  Some of the other books are a bit weird in my opinion, but they're good.

I've recently started reading the Kitty series by Carrie Vaughn.  It's a bit of a light read, but they are keeping me interested.

I know some people are suggesting Twilight and other Stephenie Meyer books, but I would recommend that you don't read it, unless you like YA stuff.  I read them and was not impressed at all.  Even for YA stuff, they are still lacking.

  7. Anything by Ray Bradbury, Robert Heinlein or Issac Asimov to start with.  They laid foundations for modern sci fi.  And Jules Verne and H G Wells.

  8. Read Ender's Game. It's so fantastic. You'll love it if you like Sooki Stakehouse.
