take a vacation to CA and try it out first. Southern CA has some nice beaches, while Santa Cruz has some nice coastline. That way you'll know before making a big move. I'm certain you will become hooked!

YOU DON'T HAVE TO SURF IN CALIFORNIA. allright there water in norcal is cold with sharks. why dont you wanna surf in oh say massachusetts. we get waves here and i surf in the winter. you dont have to sterotype people that california is all surfers.

Surfing sucks. Don't try it. If you must, I would recommend Florida. The water is warmer and the waves are much better. Good luck!!

well.......snowboarding is better because you can go offf ramps but surfing you can ride waves.........hard question

Surfing is the most fun you'll ever have without sticking a needle in your arm....
