  1. apply to local photography places for a job or your local newspaper.

  2. take a photography class and get some professional experience and quilifications

  3. Simple go to the yellow pages and look under photography, ring up a company some companies have training courses.

Take a training course and then they will either keep you on as a professional or transfer you to another company.

  4. The last thing a professional photographer wants is an assistant that has no basic grounding in photography.  Professional photographers are business people here to make money - not tutors.  So I'd ignore those telling you to ring a photographer - you're likely to get short answers...!

You should do a photography course at school or university (you don't say how old you are) or if you are an adult, take classes and build a portfolio of your own and get some experience shooting under studio conditions (hire one see what its like, join a camera club etc.).  Then you will be ready to assist a photographer.

There's 10,000 wannabees out there already in further education doing degree level studies so you have to take it seriously!

Please don't contact photographers at this stage.

  5. I think taking photographs is much the same as drawing, you either have the gift or you dont. A class can teach you eyerything you need to know on the technical side, even how to frame a pic, but you either have it or you dont.

first find out what type of photography you like to shoot, nighttime, landscapes, portraits, still life, wildlife, the list is endless. Im a photographer and shoot mainly action shots, although I get a decent picture whatever i do . I believe if you love what you do, then you should excel at what you do and come natural.

    The best of luck

  6. depends how old you are and what country. if your in england you could find a course at college to do and find a photography company nearby and ask them if you could help there or something like that. hope this helps =)

  7. Me to you should see my myspace...Advice start taking pictures of dumb things like a picture on your wall or the tv or your car ..then start taking them of yourself you diff hairsyles and outfits and shoes and when your feeling cute or like a modle ...Then take them of other people off guard those are the best .....What I recomend is taking your camera everywhere with you you never know what youll see out in the world now in days goodluck dear!
