  1. Lol church can be boring don't feel bad.

  2. Are you getting enough sleep? Do you really believe and follow Catholicism? If you were really into it and were getting enough sleep, you probably wouldn't be falling asleep in Mass. Although, when I was a Catholic I found it to be super boring sometimes. Try to get really into your faith via Bible studies and make friends who are good Catholics. This will usually get you excited for God. Also, trying praying and reading a Bible specifically for girls/women. I think those make the Bible a little more interesting for those "distracted" types. I hope this helped. God Bless!

  3. Yes. Church bores everyone. You just have to put up with it. It makes me wish I was a kid again and could go to sunday school. That's the best. I'm glad my mom doesn't make me go to church anymore :)

  4. Maybe you need to find a church with a more invigorating Pastor that talks about God in a way you can relate to?

  5. Perhaps your own legalism is what's drawing you back to such churchy law<--law, witch lulls you to the sleep of death, and then hounds you with guilt afterward. It's called evil concupiscence, and the source of such evil of such concupiscence is the law. Pst: Law is both good and evil, witch obviously ends badly. Grace is good only.

Perhaps returning to the middle ages (adding more deadly sin to confess) is intellectual suicide; If reconciling the world unto that God in Christ does not law impute any sin to them: 2Corinthians 5:19, since law also imputes unpardonable sin and death to all who go there.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

  6. What's a church? Is that the thing I go to only for friends and relatives funerals and weddings? I'm a Deist (Former Catholic)

  7. If I attended Mass,I would yawn too.

  8. we have to go to church to listen to Gods word, praise n worship God.Dont let the enemy discourage u..have faith in God

  9. Perfectly normal. I usually worship God in the wide open spaces He created, it's not boring at all.

  10. Tell your preacher to read from the OT. The stories of genocide and rape will keep you awake for days.

  11. If tired you are, or a party attend did you the night before?

Many times have I yawned when Master Windu tells us of his kicking of ***, and names that he takes.

  12. Yes, anyone would be bored listening to that droning nonsense. Anyway, I think those services are designed to put your brain to sleep, so you'll be less likely to question that nonsense.

  13. I think it might be ... I've always wanted to be religious and go to church, but I know that it would kinda bore me. I think the prospect of sitting in a large room with pretty much silence for a lot of the time is what bores me the most ... I suppose you're the same

  14. Christina, It's a "Peace" thing..And a comfort thing. It's ok, it's not disrespectful. You are content with where you are. Just enjoy the Peace and relaxation that you have.

    God Bless You!

    -Cindy

  15. Well if you go to "mass" it is boring!  Try stepping outside the Catholic or similar church you attend and into a Christian church which rocks out with some contemporary Christian worship and preaching that pulls you in with stuff you can relate to.  Gauranteed way to get rid of the yawns!

Just make sure it is still very much Bible based.

I can do the kneeling, sitdown, stand, Our Father in my sleep it was way sooooo boring and rountine!

    From an ex-Catholic!

  16. So, if you love the fact about going to church but, how come, you find yourself yawning during mass?  Hmm...something tells me that somebody is lying and you know what your Buybull says about that...

  17. u need to believe God ,if not ,u will be in then.

  18. Yes, this is normal. I think it depends on how mature you are though. Just try to fall asleep in church please.

  19. I went to the biggest congregation that our local church has had in years for a funeral and all those other domination's and atheists were there and it went on for hours. Oh by the way the atheists and other domination's were 5 to I so go to show you that all can get along alright in a civilised world.

  20. I felt the same way but then I started going to the evening mass and it was a lot more relaxed and interesting. The priest told jokes and was humble and used personal experience to get the message across. They also had a guitar player who played cool music not "Praise, praise, praise" over and over. Try a later mass when people who are too lazy to get out of bed early go...you know, most Catholics ;)

  21. Well, I am a reader in church and before this ministry I sometimes find myself yawning too!  I think yawning helps us to become more alert and attentive. Maybe you have a busy life so when you are at Mass you begin to relax!

  22. If you reckon that is boring, you should try Islam or Judaism. They are many times harder to concentrate in then Christianity. More painful too.

  23. Yes I know what you mean. I also yawn during  a Communion service and others. I don't know why but it happens. So take some comfort you are not the only one and I can sleep through any sermon.

  24. Thats because the catholic mass is so ritualistic. It never changes. its boring and not very accurate.
