I love to bass fish and i need to put flooring from front to back of my 14 ft jon boat, any ideas? thanks alot

Have the same boat use star board as it is lighter than plywood> And white in color & won't ever rot> I painted my inside white that helped on glare>

You could put 3/4 inch marine grade plywood, but you're going to add an awful lot of additional weight with it.  You're better off keeping it the way it is.  It would most likely end up being too unstable to stand up in because of the additional weight.

for a jonboat floor?   Save on the weight, 3/8 will be more than thick enough considering the short runs between supports.

marine grade ply is outrageously expensive -- I used B/C EXT (exterior grade) ply, saturated in poly resin, with one layer of fiberglass cloth just on the top side.  adds strength with very little weight, and makes a good non-skid surface.

exterior ply is made with waterproof glue.  marine grade is similar, but guaranteed to have no internal voids -- also available in some exotic water-resistant woods like okume or teak.  interior voids already have enough atmospheric moisture to start the rot process, but it'll last a good 25 years.

if you use any fasteners, seal 'em with a good marine adhesive sealant, I use 3m 5200.

I've used plywood in the bottom of my aluminum boats for years and it did great. 3/8 will be fine- It's so easy to put in and replace, I would just get the exterior grade plywood- put a few screws in it to keep it in the boat.It makes the boat so much more usable with the even flooring in it. You can also make a casting deck from 3/4 inch plywood- you can buy a half sheet at Lowe's that would be perfect- put it on the front of your boat and draw a outline of it from the bottom side and drill 2 holes on both sides of the board and through the top of the gunnel's on your boat and place bolts and nuts  to hold it in place - It works like a charm-before you mount it on the boat, put a pedestal base on the plywood to hold the pedestal seat and mount a trolling motor on it and you'll catch as many fish as a $30,000 rig.
