  1. It really depends on when your cardiologist feels that you can sustain vigorous exercise without compromising your cardiovascular health.  As such, your age, medical history and other critical factors are very important in guaging this, as is the degree of your high blood pressure and how well it can be controlled.  Many cardiologists will opt to perform a cardiac stress test prior to allowing you to exercise rigorously, just to see how your myocardium is perfused under conditions of exercise stress.  Chances are that if the cardiologist clears you and you're otherwise healthy he or she will clear you to continue your jogging, however, until you get the cardiologist's okay, I don't recommend that you continue vigorous exercise.

  2. I had a major heart attack at 37, and still to this day jog, run, bike ride, ect. Mine was caused by plaque ruptures and not high blood pressure. but still have problems with high blood pressure today . Get a few doctors recommendations if you can afford too, since I really don't see much benefit in trusting faith to one man with a degree.

  3. I strongly suggest that You consult your doctor first. As far as, I can understand jogging is not a good idea when someone is suffering from high blood pressure.

You can start walking instead of jogging and secondly, I recommend that you take an exercises stress test done.

    Wish You Good Health !
