The books are fantasy, with good adventure and plenty of humor. I read the series again about every two years. Most of the people I've recommended the series to have enjoyed it. It's a good series for young people because I was student teaching in an 8th grade class when I discovered it. Some of the students recommended it.

  13. So like romance books right. Umm. if you liked twilight you might like the Gemma Doyle books, shes a kind of phsycic from the late 1800's , Scott Westerfields books are good, The uglies is set in this kind of Teen Paradise in the future where all they do is party, its Mandatory that they get surgery to make them gorgous but theres a group of them that refuse to go with the crowd. Then theres his other series, the midnighters. People born exactly at midnight have acsess to the Secret Hour, the 25th hour of the day when everybody else freezes.

Lord of the Rings is an awesome story that weaves friendship and drama amazingly, a hobbit named frodo has to destroy a little tiny ring to save the big wide world.

And of course have you read Harry Potter?

oops those are more fantasy but they are all VERY good
