  1. find a banjo player

  2. You can also check out Craigslist for openings. I agree with the poster who suggested band bulletin boards at the music stores.

It's not in session right now but when school starts post that you want to put a band together and to call/text email you.

Don't be afraid to go out and see some local bands that play your kind of music.

Singers/members come and go with the wind. openings happen frequently.

    Trust me.

  3. So you're a good singer. The problem is you have no band lolz. If you look at the history of how bands of any genre have formed, there are really thousands of ways it happened. There is no defined method for starting a band. But here are one of the most common, efficient, and long-lasting ones:

    1) Start with friends. After all, u can trust friends more than strangers. Slowly ask around and gather ppl u can trust to fill the different parts of the band.

    2) Usually big music stores have bulletin boards in which u can put ur name and position so bands can recruit u.

    3) Use the band at ur church, and instead of singing gospel songs start singin country (if anyone is interested) :)

    4) there are many websites that have ppl registered in ur local area who are looking to join a band.
