I love tove the 49ers but when are they gonna say Alex smith is a bust and shaun hill should not play for any

football leuge. I can't under stand how a team as good as the 49ers be this bad the lions could beat them and so sould the dolphins i don't get it when do they say to them selfs. Alex Smith makes Ryan Leaf looks good alos im drunk right now so i know the spelling is off.

Alex Smith is probably the next Kyle Boller- Typically a QB who performed EXCELLENT during the NFL combine as both aS A QB and as an athlete. But unlike Boller, Smith came out of college as a "System QB"- MEANING that a certain type of QB will "plug n play" into an offensive system, in this case the spread offense in at the university of Utah when Coach Urban Meyer was still there.

SO from going from the spread offense into the West Cost offense is a huge transition and has been a huge transition for Alex Smith. He played in the shotgun spread in about 90 pct of his plays back in Utah. Quite a different system in the NFl for Smith where more than half of the formations involve  drop back passing and standing under center.

Time is ticking for Smith..

Well you can't blame everything on Smith. He has played for 4 different offensive coordinators in 4 years. Just cut him some slack. It took Steve Young a long time to become decent. Alex Smith has survived the NFL a lot more than Ryan Leaf.

LOL. Yeah I know what you mean. Alex Smith is by my definition a bust. And they expect to replace him with Shaun Hill? Its crazy. They also sign Issac Bruce, now that seems like a great decision. And im sure he would play well if they had a quarterback to throw to him. Not only that the Mike Martz system is complex, if Smith isnt careful, he could mess alot up. Look at Jon Kitna, he wasnt meant for the Martz system. Not only that hes going to take alot of sacks. And Issac Bruce is injury prone. I for see a bad year again. The NFC West has been down for years now. The Rams and Cardinals dont look much better. And the Seahawks in any ordinary division would be a third place team. The whole division is horrable.
