  1. Muslim -

There is a good Muslim population everywhere in Australia, and there is resistance, mostly from ignorance(I think this is the way with anything, anywhere?), but not more then anywhere else.  One of my good friends and old colleague is Muslim, and she's originally from India, and lived in South Africa for a few years, then did Queensland and then moved here, to Perth.  I think she loves it!

    Employment -

Salaries truely vary from city to city.  You can look at the Michael Page Salary Survey...(http://www.michaelpage.com.au/pdf/AU_200... or www.michaelpage.com.au)...we use them to recruit.

It's difficult for me to comment on your salary, without having seen your resume or looking at your experience.  First things first, you will have to take a step back, regardless of what country you are coming from.  You need to be open to contracting (in potentially very average jobs initially, jsut to get some local exerience).  Because many accountants have to communicate with other divisions, employer's main reluctance at recruiting people who have just relocated over is their level of English - make sure you are up to the challenge before you relocate!  Your writting is flawless, so I am imagining this is not a problem.

Finally, there is NO POINT you trying to apply for jobs before you get here.  Just take the leap, if you feel it's the right decision for your family, get the visas.  Assuming you are a half decent accountant, you will find a job eventually - we are screaming for accountants!

Perth, Western Australia is the calmest, most sports oriented up-beat city.  It's not got the social(clubs) or shopping scene the East Coast has - which I think is very attractive to a young family!!  It's really nice and warm in summer, and doesn't rain too much in winter. Everyone has a boat.  Just difficult to get accomodation!!!  There's just too many people coming here!  Salaries are going up as well :)

Hope this helps!!  Best of luck!  This is a beautifull country and you will love it :)

  2. not sure about the SR CA, but if you are moving from somewhere warm, try queensland (but not Sydney, esp. Cronulla beach!), if from somewhere cold maybe Melbourne or Tasmania.

  3. FRIEND , WHAT DOES BEING A MUSLIM HAVE TO DO WITH LIVING ANY WHERE ? BE A GOOD , HONEST LOVING AND GOD FEARING PERSON WHO IS WILLING TO WORK HARD AND PLAY BY THE RULE , PLUS RESPECT AND TREAT OTHERS WELL AND YOU WOULD BE OK ANYWHERE . GOD BLESS AND GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL .

  4. I say, if you want to move there with your family go for it. If you have your CPA, you'll be able to support your family no matter where you live. What should matter is that you're where you wanna be and with the people you love the most. Just go for it man, you'll figure out all the rest along the way. . .enjoy the journey.
