I m about to watch the finale of greys anatomy series 3...?

because stupidly i didn t know it was on but i don t know whether i should watch it or not or just by the box set? because if i watch it then there is no point in watching the box set if i buy it (which will cost aa lotand i might not bother). what should i do? can somebody tell me the important stuff which has happened during season 3 i no all the names apart from the new people if there are any. (can u put sspoilerat the start so if i decide not to watch it then i won t read it) but i probably will any way. thanks
