  1. Well you can go into medical imaging methods and work on cat scans, fluoroscopy, etc. Or you can do quantitative engineering.

    Ask yourself what you think it coolest about the body. Personally I was following hemodynamics at the time I was pursuing biomed eng and went after cardiovascular biomechanics as a result. There's also neurophysiology (electrical engineering-esque), prosthetics (mechanics of solids, materials, manufacturing, etc), visual and auditory, nanotechnology, artificial organs, etc. Think about what you want to do and your path most likely already exists.
