I am big fan too but Irfan has lost a lot of pace. ON dry, slow lankan pitches; he isn't going to get a lot of assistance from the pitch. Only pace thru air is going to help pacers take wickets...but then he is lacking that these days. Also i don't see more than 2 pacers in the final XI and Ishant and Zaheer/RP will be those 2. Apart from Kandy; there is no wicket in Lanka that helps Pacers even moderately. Don't be disheartened;he will be back for the ODIs. But to be a regular contender for test squad, he has to pick up his pace and bring it to a consistent upper 130s.

Irfan is a seam and swing operator medium pacer which might be ineffective in Sri Lanka, we need genuine batsman, pacy pacers and genuine spinners as the pitches will be rusty , Irfan might not fit right in the squad as the pitches are not seam friendly, he is a great player!

Irfan Patan is no doubt a good bowler. But let him take some

rest having played too much. of cricket.

And for challenging the  powerful batting line of Srilanka let some new blood be given chance.

Well this is the part of cricketer's life ... In and Out. If you will perform you will be in team and if you wont they will show you gate. Even Dada and Dravid  had such kind of experience. One player who was untouched with this is Sachin Tendulkar

He didnt perform good enough. There are more players on the list waiting to make a mark in International cricket. So those who does not perform well are fit to stay out. Probably this will give him a chance to come back srtongly yaar.

He was unfit in recetly concluded Asia Cup.  BCCI has cheated cricket-lovers of India.  How can a unfit player be in the squad ?  So, he is out, well, its okay.

I was shocked the man who was "Man of the Match" at the only test match we won in Australia during the last series is out of the test squad.

But there is one thing very certain, whenever Irfan is rested he comes back more strongly. So, lets hope that he will work hard and prove himselft again to the selectors.

Its good see that indian selectors are selecting the on the basis of porformance and in this category IRFAN PATHAN doesn't deserve the place in indian team. we should not be emotoinaly attached with players because he is from your region .we should see whether is porforming well ennough to remain in the squad...by seeing his performance in the asia cup pathan dos not deserve his place in the team.
