  1. If you read the terms and conditions, you will see there are several concerns.

For starters, ticketbust offers no guarantee the ticket will be dismissed, they are just guaranteeing you get the money back you paid to ticketbust.

Also, ticketbust can require you to file an appeal before they honor their guarantee. The court costs for the appeal will probably be higher than the money you pay to ticketbust, so you are out either way.

  2. As others have said, there are numerous terms and conditions that work in their favor. BTW, for the money it costs for ticketbusters, you can probably just hire an attorney...Much more effective. Heck, you can probably hire an attorney have him get a you a plea deal, pay that and still come out on top.

Many people have "fool proof" ways of beating citations.

One guy attempted to beat a speeding ticket I wrote by claiming that I had to recall all the events from memory and constitutionally, reviewing my notes was not allowed. Of course that did not go over well. I later heard him telling our court clerk (when he was paying the fine) that he say that defense on the internet.

In most courts in the US, a few things are absolute

    1. The officer is a recognized as an expert in his profession. The court will not let you badger him too much about his qualifications or his knowledge about how the radar works.

    2. The court recognizes that the radar/lidar works. They will allow you to try and prove something may have interfered or the radar was used improperly. But the prosecution and officer aren't expected to prove fundamentals of radar usage.

    3. If what is written on the ticket is enough to reasonably identify you as the violator, then that is enough for the court. The court isn't going to expect the officer to remember what shade of "blue" or car is or what lane you were traveling in. Asking questions like that will get you no where.

    4. We have all the documentation for our lasers/radars in the court room. So they are easily retrieved.

I mention all these, because I have seen them all as "fool proof" ways to beat a speeding ticket. The moral of the story is, these plans don't work. The best way to build a speeding ticket defense is to hire an attorney and let him do it for you, instead of relying on anonymous internet sites.

  3. Don't trust a web site.  Hire a local lawyer.  For simple traffic tickets most lawyers generally charge $50.00.  They have it reduced to a non-moving violation with the regular fine.  That way it does not affect your insurance premiums.

  4. The only "guarantee" from using Ticketbust is that you will spend a lot more money than either fighting the ticket yourself or pleading guilty and paying the fine.

    Ticketbust is a scam.

  5. They are not going to get you one thing you can't get on your own. Probably less than you can get, since they're not going to go down and talk with the prosecutor or judge. If I were to take only case in which the person is eligible for a deferred judgment or defensive driving, I could also guarantee dismissal on every case I handled. It would just cost you more. They will NOT "fight" your ticket for you, since that would mean an attorney coming to court with you. (No one but you or your attorney can represent you.)

  6. That is a rip off. There have been countless complaints about it. Don't take a chance. Fight it yourself. you will save money and probably have more sway with a judge.

  7. I know of only two things that are guaranteed in life:

    Taxes and death!!!

I've heard some pretty pathetic tales from others on the activities of Ticketbust and wouldn't recommend sending them money. You stand a better chance defending yourself in court!

  8. Depends on what the ticket was for.
