  1. I believe to get a visa, you must marry him in your country to take you over to the us? for a Tourist visa there has to be probable cause compared to runaways who don't return. Your situation leans to you trying to stay here more sooner. Best bet is to vacation with family/friends and try to come over as a group and see how that turns out. There's categories that they look into for getting Tourist visa's such as, Financial Issues:Ownership, property, vehicles.., Family (Kids) as them being left behind so you would return, Employment: how long you been working, Travel history or anything you're involved in your country. If all that is straight, you should be fine.. Just don't plan to quit all before you actually leave.

Permits are usually issued for over 6 months or more (I think 1 years the most, when I left here outside the usa) My counselor told me more than 80% of applicants gets accepted in and out of all countries.

Also if everything is set that you're still living your normal life (not quitting jobs or canceling anything you own) Apply for the Tourist Visa and you will be interviewed by an American Counsulate. It won't hurt to try instead of thinking they won't accept you. Since you have maybe 2 years for a completion I'm guessing you haven't planned anything yet so give it a try.. Goodluck!

  2. just say your on a long vacation
