your laptop isn't powerful enough to play games, its got 1GB ram but a 1.5GHz CPU speed.

If you want to play games on a computer, buy a high end desktop or build your own

It depends on what games, but your machine won't play any modern ones requriing premium performance.  You have a weak processor and no dedicated graphics card.  Your graphics are handled by the Intel GMA X3100 which is underpowered (for games) and has to share its memory with the rest of the system.

For gaming, you'd need a system that has a dedicated graphics card that has a powerful GPU and at least 256MB of its own memory.  Such machines - with modern cards and based on the C2D CPU running at least 2GHz will probably cost over $1,000.

Gaming is a poor reason to get a laptop.

Why did you think this was a driver issue?
