    Unlike the previous answerer stated, it is not necessary for you to convert your H4 into an F1 even if you are doing a full course and getting a degree (Associates, Bachelors, Masters, PhD etc).

    Furthermore, depending on the residency laws and requirements in the state of Texas you may also be eligible for in-state tuition, this is something which you should discuss with your chosen institution for more information.
