  1. i go all the time[ without children] and i see couples from australia vacationing w/ their children all the time.... children of all ages , even infants...... personally i wouldnt do it . i dont see the point. for a child that young one place is as good as the next. why expose them to such risk... viet nam is the love of my life, but it is not the most sanitary place in the world... perhaps thats the point , to expose the child to sittuation where he can develop"antibodies"!?!??   its also difficult to get around... unless you rent a personal car and driver you'll be on public transportation the whole time. hey, its your call, all tourest get treated well by the viet namese especially children.. but i dont see the point ... and summer in viet nam is HOT!!!

ps there is no anti american sentiment in viet nam..[ i dont know why not , but there is not !]   you'll get treated as well as you act and better!!!.. and the viet namese woman will "fawn"all over your children.

  2. It is a very safe place and fantastic for children....they will learn a lot from a different culture and have a great time.

Food is delicious and very very cheap, people are friendly and they are very, very proud of their country.

Just don't go in the wet season!

  3. hahahaha NOOO!

and iraq is an american friendly oceanside resort.

you know what? yeah! sure, take your kids...maybe we can do some spring cleaning on the gene pool.

  4. Here's the propoganda from the U.S. government regarding Vietnam.

  5. omg yes!

i'm 14 years old and i first went there in 2003

    they absolutly adore children!

there's a guesthouse in nha trang, one of the ladies who works at the reception thought i was the cutest thing alive!

i went back there a couple of years later and she remembered me!

  6. Go there it's safe! It's beautiful and the cost is very reasonable. Go in October - November time frame and go to the north. Hanoi is a beautiful city, and the surrounding area such as Ha Long Bay are incredible. Vietnam is my favorite part of Asia and I can't wait to get back there.

  7. no stay here

  8. of course yes.  my mom has been working in vietnam and she said it safe. in fact, i am planning to go there in november.

don't listen to those people. my mom said vietnamese people are friendly and accommodating. the vietnamese culture is very rich. it also nice to expose your children in a different setting. asian countries have very rich culture that can be seen until today.

aside from vietnam, try visiting the philippines, thailand and other countries in the asia pacific.

i am living in asia and there is nothing like asia. it may not be as beautiful as what others think but it will open your eyes and it will help you and your children understand different cultures.

news are very biased. they only report the things have gone wrong in this place overlooking the good things. that is why others see asia as unsafe and filthy. believe me, it is false.

  9. yes

  10. Now it is relatively calm there. But there is strong Anti-American feelings there. For Americans it may not be safe.

  11. Don't listen to silly people, who have never been to vietnam. There is no kidnap or anti-American there. Although VN is not as clean as Singapore and the street is very crowded, I guarantee VN is very safe for you and your children. Just be cautious like you go to any strange place.

  12. I am from UK and have lived in Asia (Hong Kong, Philippines and Thailand) for over 16 years. I have visited Vietnam many times. It is perfectly safe and friendly, with a fantasically rich culture. Frankly I am amazed at some of the other responses - clearly those people have either never been to Vietnam, or have not been for a very long time. Would be very pleased to introduce you to a very reliable local travel agent and guide in Vietnam - an American Vietnamese guy who has been a good personal friend for many years. Feel free to contact me via Yahoo Messenger.

  13. No, I would try Iraq. It would be safer.

  14. unless u or someone u love was born there stay away.I BEEN THERE (1973&74). it is nothing but rice patties.the largest city in the north is   Hannoi   & south is Siagon. both are crowed &dirty..

  15. Absolutely. Check out this website for more information about Vietnam and places of interest. I just read it.. Quite interesting.

  21. What does your common sense say about taking children to a place where people are kidnapped for ransom all the time?

  22. Haha... I can't help laughing when some of you, guys, said No.

Why not? It's much safer than America, no terrorism, no kidnapping... oh no...

If you want to ensure your children won't have any problems, I suggest you should choose Saigontourist Holding Company which will guide you to anywhere anytime with most reliable price & quality:)

  23. No, are you crazy? Yeah, how about going to the Holy Lands or the Sudan while you're at it, lmao, duh?!?!

Oh yeah, if you see a skinny Vietnamese girl on the corner saying, "Fi dolla sucky, sucky, me so horny, me love you long-time" run fast, very fast. She will have things that you can't wipe away with even Mean Green all-purpose cleaner, lmao!
